I prefer the uptempo version. Any suggestions on dates?

Might as well take a look at the first version (d2t06) in the archive. One of the reviewers that liked that one also liked 73-06-10 (d1t08).

This was fun: listen to this one and then this one. At least from the Archive's perspective, this is where the transition took place.

P.S.
For my money, this is the true joy of the Archive - random excursions into musical paleontology - or something...

I like the uptempo version, too. I've been trying to pick a favorite, but have found myself enjoying comparing versions and the big differences depending on what mood they were in, especially with the rythym and bass lines in the first 20 seconds or so of each one. I'll listen to any of those at any sound quality and still think of my missus and smile...

I don't have a personal pick to throw out, yet, but here's a related thread.

5-26-73 Kezar Stadium...although that one might be slower...don't have time to check now, maybe I'll get back to this.
